Line Cook
Requirements
• 1-3 line cook experience
• Good Fundamental Knife Skills
• Thorough Knowledge of Cooking Methods
• Thorough Knowledge of Stocks and Sauce Production
• Good Attitude and Eager to Learn
Available Shifts: 8:30am – 3:30pm
3:00pm- 10:30pm
Salary range $13-$15 per hour

Sous Chef
• X+ years of experience as a Sous Chef
• Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
• Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
• Familiar with industry’s best practices
• Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
• A.A.S or BS degree in Culinary Arts or related certificate would be a plus
Available Shift: 8:30am- 3:30pm
Salary Negotiable.

March 18th Chapter Planning Meeting

Chef Steven Leake wants to host a planning meeting for the chapter. At this meeting we will be dicussing the future existence of our chapter, so we need as many people as possible to attend and share their ideas.

The meeting will be held on  Monday, March 18th at 6:00 PM. at the Culinary Institute of Southwest TN Community College, 5983 Macon Cove, Memphis, TN 38134.

The Winds of Change have defined our course!!!!!
“CULINARY APPRENTICESHIP”

The West End Bistro will be closing its doors as a restaurant on March 02, 2019. We will continue to open for Special Events and Catered Affairs. The staff and I have enjoyed serving the West End District and the Mid- South community. We appreciate all the loyal support and hope that you will come and grow with us as we embark on our new journey!!!!

 The West End Bistro will serve as a site for Mid -South Culinary Alliance, a 501-C3 Non-profit. Theorganization will target at-risk and aspiring youth and adults. We will impact lives with training and developing. The participants will be preparing to enter/re-enter the work force with basic culinary training and necessary life skills. Become a partner with Mid-South Culinary Alliance on this Journey (you can be the village needed to enhance the lives of others).

 The West End Bistro will continue to serve the community as an event venue!!!! We will offer dining with customized menu options for special events including but not limited to: Book Club Meetings, Prayer Breakfasts, Brunches, Paint & Sip parties, Birthday Celebrations, Baby Showers, Corporate Meetings and more!!!!!!!
